Pros

  • Accessible location
  • Extensive collection of frames

Cons

  • Small clinic
  • Some prescriptions like eye drops are difficult to find

Eyes on Edward has some of the most qualified optometrists in Brisbane. Headed by David and Simon, they make sure they stay up-to-date with the latest on eye health conditions and technology to serve their customers better.

We’ve included Eyes on Edward on our list because of their first class services. Other than the basic eye examination, they offer assessments for serious eye conditions like glaucoma and diabetic eye health, as well as post-surgery advice.

Head optometrists David and Simon are good at what they do, and it shows in how they explain findings and prescriptions with clarity. They’re warm and patient, which is one of the reasons customers keep coming back.

Another thing that we love about them is that despite being smaller than most eye clinics, they have an extensive collection of eyewear frames. They have a frame for any budget range and have several styles for your lifestyle preference.

It’s also easy to book an appointment with Eyes on Edward. The customer service is friendly and accommodating, and makes you feel your importance as a client even through a phone call.

All praises for David Bradley and Simon Lan for their services! If you’re looking for a fairly rated optometrist in a good location, then you should try Eyes on Edward.

Pros

  • Plenty of suggestions for frames that suit a customer’s look
  • Sales staff can adjust prices if you’re low on budget

Cons

  • Occasional mix-up in orders
  • Parking problems because it has a street location

Upon checking out Bailey Nelson Optometrist – James Street ourselves, we realize why they are one of the most and best reviewed optometry boutiques in Brisbane. When it comes to service and fair prices, they have some great offers.

What customers love about them is the quality and affordability of their eyewear collection. Their glasses start at around $95, and they’re as sturdy and stylish as their more expensive counterparts.

Another thing that we notice is how the optometrist educates a customer. He explains the step-by-step process and results without sounding too technical so you will understand your condition and prescription.

Bailey Nelson Optometrist is one of the best when it comes to customer service. From the eye examination with an optometrist to the frame fitting process with the sales staff, you will feel valued as a customer.

They’ll make you feel comfortable all throughout the process and are always ready to assist. They even make eye checkup and frame fitting fun because of the team’s friendly demeanor and professionalism.

Pros

  • Offers Bulk-billing services
  • Has good selection of stylish frames

Cons

  • Incidental booking and cancellation problems
  • Store is a little difficult to finds sometimes because it’s located in a busy mall

If it’s affordable but quality consultation and eyewear you’re looking for, then you should try Oscar Wylee Optometrist. They have other branches across Australia, but we’re recommending Mt. Gravatt for its services and convenience.

They have budget-friendly, high-quality frames and lenses that last for a long time. Whenever you have concerns or questions about a product, the staff members in the store are ready to answer them for you.

Now let’s talk about their eye specialists. Oscar Wylee optometrists are very informative whenever they’re describing in detail what’s happening to your eyes. They don’t leave you clueless and inform you about the results and the treatment.

They are also very patient and will answer your concerns to make sure you know every detail about your examination. They will then endorse you to the sales staff who will handle your frame selection and fitting.

Speaking of staff, there were occasional complaints about them, but it’s more of a personal issue than a store issue. The staff in Oscar Wylee are generally helpful and they guide you throughout the process—it’s hassle-free most of the time.

Oscar Wylee doesn’t offer other special services for a more serious eye health diagnosis, but we recommend it to those who are looking for basic eye consultation. They also offer bulk billing services—perfect for those with a limited budget.

Pros

  • Has a lot of loyal patrons despite their high rates
  • Offers comprehensive eye exams for more serious eye problems

Cons

  • Expensive frames and lenses
  • You need to pay extra for adjustments

Though they’re not for those with a limited budget, we still added Grace & Vision Optometrist to the list. They offer comprehensive eye exams that detect serious problems and employ some of the best optometrists in Brisbane.

You can consult with them if you have serious eye conditions like diabetic eye diseases, glaucoma, blepharitis, and cataracts. They also focus on myopia, and use advanced technology (AL Scan) to address it.

Eyes are the delicate organs of the body, and we appreciate how the optometrists are very thorough when it comes to the examination and assessment. You can’t help but trust them because of this type of customer care.

We also appreciate the hassle-free booking with them. There are no major problems about appointments, which is an important consideration for clients who have little time to spare from their schedules.

Grace & Vision Optometrist is more expensive than most of those that offer the same products and services. However, the fact that they have loyal patrons speaks just how much every penny spent is worth it.

If budget is not a problem at all for you, you should go to Grace & Vision for a consultation. A little splurge for your eyes comes with a price, and a great one at that, this time.

Pros

  • Uses the latest diagnostic equipment
  • Accepts more keratoconus patients more than other optometrists

Cons

  • Limited specializations
  • Might have extra charges

Advanced Optometry has some of the best optometrists in Brisbane that specialize in keratoconus management and myopia control. They also offer basic eye consultation and eyewear services, but they specialize in these two.

Some optometry clinics accept only a handful of keratoconus patients, but Advanced Optometry takes in at least 10 per day, which makes it convenient for patients suffering from the condition. They custom-fit contact lenses for them including scleral lenses.

Some customers we talked to appreciate that even with their competent specialists, Advanced Optometry still uses the latest technology in eye examinations. This is most important when dealing with delicate eye conditions.

Their team of specialists have the educational background to back up their services. This is why the clients love how the optometrists don’t just do tests for them, they also make sure to look after the overall health of their eyes.

Advanced Optometry also has their own amazing frame designs, which you probably won’t be able to resist purchasing. But rest assured you also get quality along with the stylish aesthetics.

Their rates are a little higher than some of those on the list, but this is because of their specializations. But the good service and eye care make up for every penny that goes out of your intended budget.

And done with our list! Choosing the right optometrist is essential for your overall ocular health and vision.

It’s best to make sure you’re aware of your eye needs so you can choose the right expert for you.
