When it comes to yum cha, Longtime Dining is one of the places where you feel like having dim sum is an occasion rather than just a simple dining experience.
If it’s freshness and perfect cooking you’re after, then this is the place for you! Because who wouldn’t want an authentic yum cha experience without the fresh ingredients, right?
Add to that the accommodating and respectful staff that served us as if we were important people, minus the slow serving at times. We highly recommend getting their duck pancakes, roast duck, and the dumplings as they are the stars of the show.
We spoke to one of the customers while waiting for our food, and they complained that the taste is inconsistent, but the ambience and service make up for it. We took that testimony to heart, but we certainly had a different experience!
We also have to mention that they have private dining rooms and dietary options available to accommodate different kinds of customers. Longtime Dining might just be the place for you if you wanna feel exclusive yet traditional.
Perfect spot for a satisfying meal
We had an amazing yum cha at this restaurant! The dumplings were absolutely delicious—fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. The drinks complemented the meal beautifully, and the service (by Roree) was outstanding—friendly, attentive, and efficient. A perfect spot at Queens Plaza for a satisfying meal. Highly recommend it!

Madame Wu’s banquet menu full of Chinese fusion dishes stood out when we were looking for the next dim sum places in the city.
Since it’s a busy place, we highly recommend that you book a reservation so you can save yourself from the possibly long lines. Because if you’re hungry, waiting can be a bit more difficult and we don’t want that!
Once you get inside, you will already feel that you’re in a somewhat exclusive place with the view of the Brisbane River and, of course, the Story Bridge. We went there for dinner, so it was dark outside but filled with colors of the city from a distance.
Out of all the items we tried, we recommend the steamed duck buns, kingfish sashimi, prawn toast, Moreton Bay bug dumplings, scallop dumplings, and the absolutely amazing wagyu dumplings! We have to mention that it comes with a huge price, though.
If you’re into exquisite setups with a VIP feeling, then Madame Wu will definitely deliver. The reservation made all of these easier, so go and visit this hidden treasure of a place by the river.
Known for its creative dishes
Madame Wu is a modern Asian fusion restaurant located on the riverfront with stunning views of the Story Bridge. It is known for its creative dishes blending traditional Asian flavors with contemporary twists. Reviews often praise the atmosphere, with its stylish décor and vibrant energy, making it great for special occasions or casual dining. The food is highly rated, especially their signature dishes like pork buns, duck pancakes, and fresh seafood. The service is generally regarded as friendly and efficient, although some reviews mention occasional wait times due to the restaurant’s popularity.

The food was absolutely delicious
We got the 12 course banquet and included some add ons to try a wide variety. The food was absolutely delicious, particularly the appetisers. Our favourite was definitely the kingfish sashimi, but the roast duck and raw oysters were also absolutely delicious. The desert too was nice and light, despite my boyfriend not liking sweets he enjoyed the Swiss roll. Our least favourite dishes were the chicken and lamb, not because they were bad but because they weren’t as outstanding as the other dishes. The service was friendly and relatively attentive. One of my favourite parts though was the view, we were seated on the balcony looking over the river, the view was amazing and the warm table lamp felt romantic.

After booking a reservation for dinner, we were immediately greeted with the beautiful interior. We knew we were in for a treat once we saw the art and the amazing vaulted ceilings.
We started with a cocktail which was the Duck Fat Smoked Bourbon Manhattan. And even though it might not sound like your typical fancy drink, we were left craving for more and got a glimpse of the fusion dishes the restaurant has to offer in the process.
We ordered one of their banquets, but as we dined, we found the cumin spiced lamb buns, calamari, white cut chicken in Sichuan chilli oil, and rice noodle rolls as the standouts of the table.
The food that they serve is mostly hot, and by that, we mean really packing with heat. You can say your preferences to the servers, so that shouldn’t be a problem.
Speaking of service, we gotta say that we were quite disappointed in the matter we were served. Our food took a bit too long for our liking, and we didn’t quite receive the bare minimum for hospitality which shook our overall experience.
Still, the cocktails and food were outstanding! We recommend this place for the patient ones with tamer appetites out there, because if you’re hungry, the slow service is definitely not for you!
Fabulous find
What a fabulous find. Couldn’t believe the gorgeous setting – elegant and tasteful. A cool oasis in the crazy winter heat! We had the smaller banquet for lunch at $98 per person. Each dish is beautifully plated and so balanced and delicious. Stand out dishes were the prawn and scallop dim sum and the barramundi in broth. We don’t usually enjoy dessert but the bittersweet caramel with the custard and donut were sublime. The only let down was the service. It wasn’t the fault of the two young people who looked after us. They need to be properly trained, management must put more effort into their young staff, teaching them to clear away the used plates, educating them about wines from the great wine list etc. We’d definitely come back. Thanks so much to the amazing kitchen staff!

Our Donna Chang experience did not disappoint
Fabulous food, beverages and service! Our Donna Chang experience did not disappoint and would highly recommend dining here if you love Asian flavours and fine dining. We enjoyed the vegan banquet, which was nothing less than amazing. Paired with cocktails. Very generous portion sizes and our waitress kindly offered for us to take the rest of the food home with us. All of the dishes paired perfectly (flavours) and we could not fault anything (from service to the food). The decor is gorgeous too.

After experiencing flaws in terms of customer service in the restaurants we’ve been to, we thought we had lost all hope with dim sum places. That’s until we went to Goodtime West Village where the service was the highlight of the experience!
The reservation was simple and they were responsive, so we never had to go through the rigorous process of fighting for a slot just to enjoy the food. And when we got there, the place was very modern–not too fancy and not too simple.
We got so many items that we’ve never tried before such as the cashew chicken, crispy fish shumai, satay skewers, and beef with soy sauce, but we really suggest that you get the truffle fried rice!
The variety was plentiful, but the catch is that most of their food is more on the bland side. We understand that not everyone wants a salty taste, but a bit more seasoning wouldn’t hurt. I must admit, though…the service was really the best thing here.
Despite that, we should mention that they have free ice cream for dessert! It came as a surprise, so it felt really good to receive and eat. It healed our souls, and it reflected how hospitable and accommodating the staff were. The food was more affordable as well!
If you don’t mind Asian cuisine that isn’t seasoned as much, then Goodtime West Village might be the dim sum place for you!
Delicious food and warm hospitality
We had a delightful dinner here last night, and it was our first visit. To make the most of the experience, we opted for the Goodtime Hero Banquet, which turned out to be an excellent choice. This banquet offers a diverse range of dishes, and each person can select their own, allowing us to sample a variety of items from the menu. Every dish we ordered was flavorful, and we appreciated that our food arrived in a timely manner. However, it would have been ideal if the starters were served separately before the mains, to give us more time to enjoy each course. Despite that, the service was impeccable—efficient and friendly. A special mention goes to Adika, who truly stands out and is an asset to the restaurant. His attentive service made our dining experience even more memorable. Overall, it was a fantastic evening with delicious food and warm hospitality. We’ll definitely be back!

When we saw the menu in Lilong West End, we were amazed considering the variety. The dishes are inspired by the many Chinese provinces and their specialties, so it was like a trip around the mainland.
It was difficult getting there, though. The booking was inconsistent with blurry communication, probably because we went there during lunch and came with the surge.
We got the Shantung crispy chicken, beef braised in Sichuan chili sauce, bean curd, braised soy sauce duck, chive pancakes, mushroom noodles, pan-fried dumplings, spicy chicken fried rice, steamed buns, steamed fish, and more.
All of the things we mentioned are highly recommended! The first bite of each was a whole different experience. It felt like a buffet even though it wasn’t!
However, the downside was that they are an outdoor restaurant. And since it was noon, it got a bit hot. There was no air conditioning to control it either, and there were flies everywhere that they refused to get rid of.
Apart from these, the serving time was so long that we got a little impatient. Good thing the food was great, so all the waiting was worth it. Still, they can do better in that area.
Diverse and satisfying dining experience
Had an incredible experience! The variety of dishes was truly impressive. From the flavorful stir-fried greens to the succulent meat dish in a rich, dark sauce, every bite was delicious. The fried calamari was perfectly crispy and seasoned, and the accompanying rice and beverages tied the meal together wonderfully. The presentation of each dish was top-notch, making the meal as visually appealing as it was tasty. I highly recommend Lilong West End for anyone looking for a diverse and satisfying dining experience!

Great place
Great place! We fell in love with the dan dan noodles which were not too spicy but the bright spice of the szechuan peppercorn shines through the rich peanut sauce. We also enjoyed the peking-style pork that paired well with the pancake wraps and sticky rice dumplings. Get the milk tea to help wash the spice from the dan dan. We were lucky it was a bit cool when we came so prepare for the open area.
